Hi Friends, it's Karen Nation, founder of the world's first No-bake Mixes for Protein Balls & Energy Bites. I can't wait to tell you more about my Shark Tank journey after the show, but here's an intro on how this female foodie founder came to swim with the Sharks on ABC.
The long application process began in March 2020, literally the week we went into lockdown from COVID, and all travel, office meetings and hugging came to a halt. That's when I received a fortunate email from a Shark Tank producer who saw one of our Instagram ads (yep). What perfect timing for such an amazing opportunity, and a welcome distraction in quarantine!
Months later, I finally made it through the rigorous application process and was luckily pitching in front of the Sharks. Crazy! Season 12 was like no other, filmed at the Venetian Las Vegas after 4 Covid tests and 10 days in hotel quarantine that summer.
Now, a year later, so much has happened! It goes without saying, this has been a long time in the making, with sleepless nights and nonstop work, wondering if this day would ever come. Well, here it is, and I'm so incredibly grateful!
